Koh Phi Phi – fighting, fire, and bloody toes.

Fight club

Being slightly hungover and checking into a party hostel went exactly as I’d expected, with me leaving the pool party to head to my bed. All things considered I slept well, minus the 4am wake from an angry bunk mate who couldn’t deal with others snoring. “Can anyone else hear that, what the fuck is wrong with you, be quiet”

Waking up fresh, prepped for my day trip around the Phi Phi islands was a nice feeling as I was seeing some rather hungover individuals on my walk around. The boat trip included a stop at Shark point, which unfortunately there were no sharks at, lots of cool fishes though. Next up Bamboo island, Monkey beach, Viking Cave (a very very cool little place to see) and Pileh bay. We stopped too snorkel here and I saw a swordfish! Did contemplate if it would attack me but it did not, I think they are harmless. Our final stops were Loh Samah Bay and Maya Bay, the famous beach due to our good friend Leonardo Decaprio. A quick meal with friends before heading out for the evening. Carnage unravelled for Emma that evening, with my apparent guts of steal shining through as I par-take in fire skipping, and a boxing match. And once again waking up with war wounds, this time, the skin off my big toe gone… Waking up with the absolute fear of some of my other actions, I brave the good old sorry text…

A hungover, sweaty hike to the local veiw points, nearly killed me off but 1000% worth the walk.  Deciding weather to stay on Ko Phi Phi for 1 more night or relocate to Railey Beach was a difficult choice, but acknowledging an ever growing requirement to distance myself from one specific gentleman I make the choice to pack up and take the evening boat over. Phi Phi is fun and beautiful, 9.5/10.
